The James Taylor Quartet @ The Captain Stax Show

Conceived at the Blue Note Club Milano last January, here’s the second
“VIP” installment of the year. A ultra-cool selection by all 4 members of
JTQ, for the occasion featuring the magic vibes of Ralph Wyld, drummer
Adam Betts and “classic” quartet members Andrew McKinney and
James Taylor (of course 🙂 ). According to this show format I added some
tracks by the band, coming from a London’s Jazz Cafè performance, the
Ronnie Scott’s vinyl-only LP, the beautiiful Motown covers album, the
Freestyle 45 with Roy Ayers and the Rochester Cathedral Choir. The
MRUK jingle made my day indeed, recorded live and direct with the
Hammond organ on stage, me on side and my microphone placed on the
precious wood (you clearly hear James’ touch on the keys!)
