Oddly Keith Richards, who wrote the guitar riff that the song hangs on, didn’t believe that Satisfaction was strong enough for an A-side, contending that the riff, copped from Martha Reeves & The Vandellas’ Dancing In The Street, ought to have been performed on record by a horn section.
